The company operates in the manufacturing sector and is led by CEO Jeff Owens. As of published reports, the company employs approximately 2,900 people[1] and provides outsourced maintenance and reliability services for manufacturing and industrial facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Mexico.[2]
History
[edit]Advanced Technology Services was founded in 1985 in Peoria, Illinois, by former Caterpillar employees to provide managed maintenance services for industrial equipment.
Over time, ATS expanded its operations to include reliability programs, technical training, and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) support. The company subsequently established operations across the United States and later in Mexico and the United Kingdom.[3]
