Bruce Thorburn is an Australian musician. He is best known as the yellow member from the Australian children's act the Hooley Dooleys from 1996 to 2004. Thorburn provided vocals, songwriting and was the violin player for the group. After leaving the group, he remains performing as a solo musician around Sydney just like he did before forming The Hooley Dooleys.

Starting from the 1970-80s, Thorburn worked as a solo musician by performing gigs around Sydney Australia. He was later put together for a gig with Antoine Demarest who was another founder member of the group. They continued working together as musicians when later their manager put them together with David Butts after insisting on having a third member. When Thorburn use to live on King Island, the expression phrase "Hooley Dooley" was being used a lot as a common local saying used to express surprise or general inquiry, which gave him the inspiration of the groups name.

During 2004, Thorburn sent out message on the official Hooley Dooleys website and stated "I'm writteng to say, that after nine great years of fun and wonderful experiences, and having the pleasure to working with such good people as David, Antoine, Russell and Tickle, I have decided (for personal reasons) to draw an end to my time with The Hooley Dooleys". Later in 2026, it was explained that the group would be away from home two weeks at a time doing over 200 concerts a year. His wife at the time was taking care of 3 young children, their son and their twin daughters, and was difficult due to his absence, the couple later decided to divorce which gave him the decision to move on and stop performing with the group.
