Anthony Luke Lucero (born November 1, 1967) is an American poet. He is also known for his work as a screenwriter, director, actor, producer. He is the founder and co-creator of the circus outreach organization, Circus Remedy.

Writing

Chiron Review published one of Lucero's first poems, "The Living Party," in 1992, and included it in their 1981-1992 Anthology. [undue weight? discuss][citation needed]

Lucero published a long poem, The Clown, which became the basis of his film, Halo of Stars. He also self-published dear little missy[1] with photographer Massimo Leardini. [undue weight? discuss]

In 2009, Piante Gallery featured the broadsides of Lucero and fellow North Coast writers, Jim Dodge and Jerry Martien. [undue weight? discuss][unreliable source?]

Directing

In 2016, Lucero directed his first feature, Halo of Stars,[2] based on his long poem, The Clown. The film stars Pål Sverre Hagen,[3] Holliday Grainger, Lily Collins,[4] Keti Mchedlishvili and Lukas Haas.

In 2012, he directed two music videos for Emily Wells: Passenger (acoustic) and the largely animated Darlin’ (acoustic).[5] [undue weight? discuss]

Acting

Lucero had a supporting role as a student who commits suicide in the film Pump Up the Volume[6][7] He was also cast in Loved opposite Robin Wright and William Hurt.

Circus Remedy

In 2006 Lucero co-founded the circus outreach organization, Circus Remedy.[8][9]
