If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request a technical move below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• Please make sure you really need technical assistance before making a request here. In particular, if the target page is a redirect back to the source page that has only one revision, you can usually move the page normally.
• To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

• To request a reversion of a recent undiscussed move: Review the guidelines at WP:RMUM of whether a reversion of an undiscussed move qualifies as uncontroversial and if so, the Requests to revert undiscussed moves subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

Note that in some cases, clerks, such as administrators or page movers may determine that your request for a reversion does not pass the criteria and may move the request to the contested section or open a formal requested move discussion for potentially controversial moves on your behalf.
• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page. A bot will automatically remove contested requests after 72 hours of inactivity.

• Nevada State Assembly → Nevada AssemblyNevada Assembly (currently a redirect back to Nevada State Assembly) (move · discuss) – Per WP:CONCISE and consistency with similar articles. "State" is unnecessary/redundant and "Nevada Assembly" is the official, legal term. Additionally, the prior change was not justified as the terms "Nevada Assembly" and "Nevada State Assembly" are both used. This change is also consistent with the usage of "Nevada Legislature" rather than "Nevada State Legislature" QueenPeppers (talk) 20:38, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

• Lorenzo Mauldin → Lorenzo Mauldin IVLorenzo Mauldin IV (currently a redirect back to Lorenzo Mauldin) (move · discuss) – (Discuss) Move requested in order to retitle the page as the subject's WP:COMMONNAME, per the BC Lions' transactions page and the Canadian Football League's website, as there is an existing redirect which has been edited multiple times under the target name, which prevents the page from being renamed and moved automatically. This move was also contested at WP:RM due to sources covering Mauldin IV's NFL career, including ESPN and AP, conflicting with the above named CFL sources, in regards to the use of the "IV" suffix and so discussion is apparently required per @Confused Spirit. The move has now just about reached the end of its' 7-day discussion period with no participation whatsoever, beyond my own, and so I hereby request that an uninvolved administrator please close the discussion early on these grounds as the move has clearly been proven to be uncontroversial after all.   @Destinyokhiria Thank you for your input. I have rephrased my request to account for the fact that I am, in actuality, requesting an early closure of the discussion, on the same grounds as before. Secondly, as I forgot to address your secondary point regarding the guidelines for this section in my edit summary for the reversion, they do not read as hard-and-fast rules to me, given the issue of the term "usually", and so I feel that this request should be kept here until addressed, as it does still require an administrator as the move in question cannot be completed by a non-admin due to it's technical nature.
