Wikipedia:Scripts++/Instructions

Monthly instructions for sending an issue and starting the next:

1. Move from Wikipedia:Scripts++/Next to the issue page without a redirect, and without moving the talk page.
   • Suggested summary: Issue being sent, moving (redirect suppressed per [[WP:PMRC#9]]/[[WP:CSD#G7]]) Issue being sent, moving (redirect suppressed per [[WP:PMRC#9]]/[[WP:CSD#G7]]).
   • If you can't suppress the redirect, make sure to blank Wikipedia talk:Scripts++/Next to prevent the (next) published issue's discussion page from being a redirect to the last issue.
2. Move relevant discussion entries from Wikipedia talk:Scripts++ to the new talk page, so the link doesn't appear as a redlink. Include the heading:

   {{Moved discussion from|Wikipedia talk:Scripts++}}
   

   • Leave backlinks on Wikipedia talk:Scripts++ using {{Moved discussion to|Wikipedia talk:Scripts++/Issue 28}} {{Moved discussion to|Wikipedia talk:Scripts++/Issue 28}}.
3. Send the mass message (Special:MassMessage) to Wikipedia:Scripts++/Subscribe with the subject Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue 28 Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue 28 and the content {{subst:Wikipedia:Scripts++/Issue 28}} {{subst:Wikipedia:Scripts++/Issue 28}}
   • Use Wikipedia talk:Mass message senders#MassMessage Delivery Requests to request a send if permissionless.

4. Update Template:Scripts++/current with the new issue number
5. Update Wikipedia:Scripts++/Archive
6. Update Wikipedia talk:Scripts++/Archive with this issue's featured script
7. Start the next issue, using Wikipedia:Scripts++/Shell
