Unprotection: 150 average page views, protected before PC existed, inactive admin, change to temp PC to trial this. Toketaatalk 15:53, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
- Courcelles has been active within the past year. I'd ping him at least as a courtesy. Daniel Case (talk) 02:52, 25 September 2026 (UTC)

- (Non-administrator comment) It's been a few days without a response from the protecting admin (who hasn't edited since December) so perhaps another admin could have a look at this. I support WP:TRYUNPROT by downgrading to PCP. Entranced98 (talk) 17:14, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
Pending changes–protected for a period of 6 months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Downgraded to pending changes protection. I have watchlisted, and if disruption isn't to big this can then peter out silently...Lectonar (talk) 07:53, 1 October 2026 (UTC)

Indefinite pending changes: Persistent vandalism – Requesting reduction in protection to pending changes, page was inf semi-protected over 3 years ago. The page also desperately needs updates and allowing more people to submit edits may help solve this. Szxq (talk) 05:21, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
Reason: Hello, I would like to request the removal of protection from the article about Robbie Williams. This article has been protected for over 15 years—a very long time—and I believe it is worth testing whether such protection is still necessary. A similar case is the article about Elton John, where protection was recently lifted after many years. Given that the Elton John article can now be edited without restriction, I think it would be reasonable to allow a trial period without protection for the Robbie Williams article as well, and to monitor whether any serious vandalism or other content disruption occurs. Should problems arise again, protection could, of course, be reinstated. Thank you for your time and for considering this request. Buldok465 (talk) 14:07, 27 September 2026 (UTC)

- No strong opinion -- I have no way to change protection actions I made in the past, and from what I can see, the only reason I made a change here was because it was at one of those weird protection levels that WMF tried to force down our throats.—Kww(talk) 02:09, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
- Personally, I support keeping the protection. This is a high-traffic page with an extensive history of vandalism, exactly why indefnite protections are a thing to begin with. Giovanni Potage (talk) 09:31, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
- Whoops, I misread the requested page as Robin Williams. Giovanni Potage (talk) 09:35, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
- Regardless of name reading, I oppose this reduction. Nothing good comes from lowering protection levels on a page with indefinite semi-protection or extended-confirmed protection. That above all else would open the door for more bad edits to come in, and such risks are never worth taking. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 02:20, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
Declined – No changes to the current protection level are required at this point in time. The subject of said article is still in the news and on tour regularly, which imho is the big difference to Elton John mentioned above (he isn't as visible as he was before). I don't see a gain by lifting or reducing protection atm. We can revisit this in some years. Lectonar (talk) 07:33, 1 October 2026 (UTC)

Unprotection: Almost a year since the subject was salted. And she has appeared in multiple projects beyond one TV series and one reality series. At least restore in the draft space?. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:48, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
- As protecting admin, I salted this because it had been deleted seven time per multiple community discussions. I don't have any specific advice to give on whether unsalting now is warranted; other admins are probably better at making that content decision than I am. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:05, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Declined There actually still is a draft at Draft:Isha Malviya. If and when this passes AfC, protection can easily be lifted. Lectonar (talk) 07:36, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
