• Yes, an external link is okay here. Just because someone tags something, or even argues passionately that their view is best, doesn't mean that it really is best. Do what's right by the article. That usually means internal links when we have them (e.g., RFC 2324) and external links when we don't. See also WP:ELLIST. WhatamIdoing (talk) 05:29, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

Correct link?

The link is currently on only the number. The link should be on the full "RFC 2345". The link target is RFC 2345, not an RFC with a title of 2345 — GhostInTheMachine ^{talk to me} 12:18, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
