Edit request to complete TfD nomination

[edit]

Template:Soft redirect has been listed at Templates for discussion (nomination), but was protected so could not be tagged. Please add:

to the top of the page to complete the nomination. Thank you. JsfasdF252 (talk) 22:46, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

 Done * Pppery * it has begun... 02:08, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 20 March 2021

[edit]

Please change "March 18" to "March 17" in the TfD link: the wrong date was picked up because the tagging took place the day after the nomination. 116.86.4.41 (talk) 08:10, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

 Done, and thank you very much, good catch! P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 13:35, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

{{#ifeq:{{Is interwiki link|{}}}|yes||{{#ifexist:{}||}}}}
has the following piece of code near the end: . It adds an unnecessary vertical bar after the PAGENAME which should be removed. ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 09:18, 12 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mobile

[edit]

It has been pointed out that redirects using this template (e.g. User talk:InternetArchiveBot appear as blank talk pages in mobile.

Can we resolve this, or does it need kicking to Phabricator? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:22, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

This in DiscussionTools appears to be the culprit. Nardog (talk) 13:27, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
We could add __NOTALK__ to the template. Nardog (talk) 13:45, 9 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Show nothing in article space?

[edit]

The guideline at Wikipedia:Soft redirect indicates that this template is not to be used in article space. Should we wrap it in main other to display nothing, or an error-tracking category, in article space? – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:30, 24 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
