Description of suggested change: I wrote Hmong New Year article, and would like it to be independent and have its own page on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, it was merged with the "Hmong Customs and Culture" page. There, I do not agree and I am not happy at all. The difference between the two is that Hmong New Year is an article that specifically talks about Hmong New Year for many centuries, since His Dynasty to this day, nothing to do with Hmong Customs. While the article "Hmong customs and culture" is more of a summary article of Hmong customs and general culture. The detail and purpose of the two are different. It is like if we talk about "food" hamburgers and cheeseburgers. These are from the food family, why are they not merged? The same thing for "Spaghetti" and "Noodles", it's my same thing. Why do they each have their own independent page. Why don't you put them both on one page? Why are you merging my Hmong New Year article with the other one? Give me an explanation for this non-acceptance? Hmong New Year doesn't make sense to you? It doesn't have any notability like yours "New Year"? If so, you are pointing the finger that there is a problem of discrimination and race between us. That's why you have no consideration for my culture and my religion as well as my new year like everyone else. Explain to me? Diff:

Description of suggested change: I added redirect detection to PROD to categorize it in the category Category:Proposed deletions needing attention with R as the subheading. It's in the sandbox at {{Proposed deletion/dated/sandbox}}. I didn't provide a diff because it's a bit messy to post using {{text diff}}, but it's linked here. If this is edited, let me know and I'll also add it to the documentation at Category:Proposed deletions needing attention. If this is too controversial, I can start a conversation on it first. Redirecting is an alternative method to deletion, and I'm surprised it's not brought up here. JHD0919 (talk) 02:47, 16 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This is functionally the same as merging, IMO, just without moving the content. Izno (talk) 16:49, 16 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of existing information should not occur. Davey Magras competed (2) times (Portland and Sonoma raceways) within the last (4) months and is actively seeking full time funding. It is unclear why Driver Database has not updated his finishing results, possibly causing the proposed deletion. ~2026-59951-5 (talk) 19:47, 27 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: this is the talk page for discussing improvements to the template {{Proposed deletion}}. Please make your request at the talk page for the article concerned. P.I. Ellsworth, ed.  welcome!  22:33, 27 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
