May I suggest linking defaultipa to Help:pronunciation and indicipa to Help:IPA? Those are much more accessible than the main IPA article. kwami 02:14, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

This template vs. Lang + Transl

[edit]

I was quite happy to have stumbled upon this template. I don't seem to have seen it on most Indic pages I've edited, so I'm wondering if it's still actively maintained. Does it produce very different results from a combination of {{Lang}} and {{Transl}}? Uanfala (talk) 22:49, 28 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

sandbox

[edit]

I have created a sandbox version of this template that uses the Module:lang function name_from_tag() for the language name links and {{lang}} for the rendering of |indicn= and {{transl}} for the rendering of |transn=.

I hunted through the articles that transclude this template for examples of its use. These are in Template:Indic/testcases.

Keep? Discard?

@Trappist the monk: I have copied this sandbox version to the template.
