Template:Uw-canvass
It appears that you have been canvassing—notifying a biased selection of users of an ongoing community discussion—which may undermine Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building. While helpful notices are allowed, they should be limited, nonpartisan, and neutral. They should not be spammed, support one point of view or side of a debate, or be selectively sent to those who may agree with you. Thank you.
Template documentation | This template should always be substituted – use {{subst:Uw-canvass}}. Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot. |
 | Any breaking changes to this template, including moving it or nominating it for deletion, must be communicated in advance to Twinkle's users and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle. The standard installation of Twinkle relies on this template. |
Usage
{{subst:Uw-canvass}}{{subst:Uw-canvass|Article}}references a specific article{{subst:Uw-canvass|Article|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-canvass}} rather than {{Uw-canvass}}.
To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
