I'll read the article shortly and compare it to the good article criteria. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 19:48, 15 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

EternalBaile, after reading the article, there are some issues that prevent it from meeting the good article criteria. The biggest problem is that I found multiple cases either where the sources don't confirm what's claimed in the article, or the article copies the text of the copyrighted source almost exactly. There are also some prose issues, but those should be easier to clean up. To fix the sourcing issue, you might have to go through every source used in the article and confirm that it can verify all of the facts but that it's not being copied and pasted directly into the article. I'll leave it up to you whether you want to do that within the next few days or if you want to close the review and renominate it in the future once you've had more time. EternalBaile, I'm in no rush, but I'm checking in to see where you're at on this. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 23:13, 27 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I've fixed quite a bit. EternalBaile (talk) 02:48, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Let me know when it's completely clear of any WP:CLOP or WP:TSI issues and it's ready for another look. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 22:59, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think it's ready. Veyhola (talk) 20:07, 8 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Source review

Spot checks of sources
Reference #LetterSourceArchiveStatusNotes
The album was made out to be an experimental album, as Amos had stated "we wanted to present a wide range of styles in a way that acknowledges everything's just a tiny blip”.
4astereogum.com Red XI don't see where the source verifies that it was an experimental album.
Musically, it blends various styles, from disco-infused alt-pop to folk-rock and psychedelic sounds, creating a unique and adventurous listening experience. It's a Beautiful Place's theme was written around the recording of their sixth studio album, Everyone's Crushed (2023).
2ctheguardian.com Red XThe source doesn't verify any part of this passage.
The track was heavily inspired by Brown’s interest in anarchist utopian novel The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin and 2017 polemic There Is No Unhappy Revolution by Marcello Tarí.
7cclashmusic.com Red XThis is almost identical to what is said in the source: a stand-out track heavily inspired by Brown’s interest in anarchist utopian novel The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin and 2017 polemic There Is No Unhappy Revolution by Marcello Tarí. This creates possible plagiarism and copyright issues.
With a music video finding Water from Your Eyes trapped in an endless loop of television.

Paste's Vic Borlando would rate it 8.7 out of 10 saying the album "makes disenchantment feel as grandiose and overwhelming as falling out of love."

Another 8 out of 10 came from Alison Ross of PopMatters who praised Brown's voice for having "a quality that draws you into its secretive sphere" and the group's "stunning" musical maturity.

Prose review

[edit]
  • I made some copyedits to the article. The main issues were sentence fragments and incorrect uses of the word "would", but all the changes I made can be seen at Special:Diff/1327707336.
  • The body doesn't mention that it's by Water from Your Eyes, that it's their seventh studio album, or that it's alternative pop and rock.
  • "producing the songs apart and reconstructing" doesn't make sense grammatically and I'm having trouble understanding what it means.
  • The recording is described twice, once at the start of Background and once at the start of Composition.
  • The article leans very heavily on quotations. Whenever possible, ideas should be paraphrased with our own original wording.
  • "is expected to conclude on November 7, 2025" needs updating.

@Thebiguglyalien and Veyhola: Hi. There hasn't been a comment here since February 8, so I was wondering if you two are still interested in continuing this review. RedShellMomentum 04:47, 1 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sure, but can someone else do it Veyhola (talk) 23:07, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
A follow up would essentially be a new review in its own right, so more eyes would probably be for the best. I'll set it to second opinion to signal that other should weigh in. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 07:21, 16 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
