The seating chart in the article misses the back half of the plane.

Would this image from this National Park Service page (public domain as created by a US Government employee) be more suitable?

The wings can be cropped off to show just the cabin.

Imbalance in visual representation - victims vs. perpetrators

Hello fellow editors,

I would like to raise a concern about the current visual representation in this article. While the article includes four photographs of the hijackers, there are no photographs of any of the 40 passengers and crew members who heroically fought back and ultimately prevented an even greater tragedy.

This imbalance is problematic for several reasons:

1. Disproportionate attention to perpetrators: The current layout inadvertently gives more visual prominence to the terrorists than to the heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect others.
2. Missing human element: The victims and crew members who showed extraordinary courage deserve to be remembered and humanized, not just mentioned in text.
3. Editorial balance: Wikipedia should strive to present these tragic events in a way that honors the victims while documenting the facts.

I understand that finding appropriate images of victims can be challenging due to copyright and privacy concerns, but I believe we should make an effort to:

• Research if any family-approved photos are available in public domain
• Consider creating a dedicated section with photos of victims if available
• Potentially reduce the prominence of hijacker photos if victim photos cannot be found
• Ensure the article's visual narrative reflects the heroism of those who fought back

Has this issue been discussed before? Are there any ongoing efforts to address this imbalance? I would appreciate input from other editors on how to best approach this sensitive but important matter.

As soon as I saw the pictures of the 4 hijackers I came here to see if there was other commentary on it. I think that prominently displaying their photographs glorifies them, and I don't see that it adds anything to the facts of the matter. WikiProject LGBT

This project is in scope because, without the leadership of a gay man, the plane would have crashed into a target such as the White House or Capitol. Bearian (talk) 12:19, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

The relevant content all seems to be at Mark Bingham (which is undeniably in-scope as the biography of an LGBTQ+ person). I'm not sure what content in this article would specifically be relevant to or benefit from the attention of WP:LGBTQ+. It might be worth posting a discussion at WT:LGBTQ+ to get a consensus from project particiapants on its inclusion.--Trystan (talk) 13:04, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Bingham is mentioned once in the article. It never explains his sexuality (mainly because it lacks relevance in this specific article), so it fails the question: "Does the article have substantial content discussing LGBTQ+ aspects of the subject that will benefit from the attention of WP:LGBTQ+?" Thoughts on this edit?

Temp ID user made an edit here which restructures the entire paragraph about the final hour and minutes of Flight 93. I disagree that this is a good edit to make, even though the paragraph is not as cluttered as it was before. However, I feel like it omits key points that the previous paragraph's text had.
