Mandark

[edit]

As I'm viewing the page's history, I see that every information regarding the character Mandark has been removed...why is that? There needs to be an explanation. Otherwise, I will personally add the information regarding Mandark back to the article myself. Thenostalgiaman (talk) 16:56, 15 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Aubreeprincess, JBOOK17, Darth Knight, Cheezknight: Can you guys please answer my question? Thenostalgiaman (talk) 16:56, 15 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Not sure why I was pinged here. My only contribution to this article is reverting a disruptive editor. However, I do recommend waiting to reach a consensus before adding back any disputed information. Thanks. Cheezknight (talk) 18:24, 15 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Cheezknight, read the rest of the discussion. Also, I will personally add Mandark back if you guys cannot give me valid reasons. Thenostalgiaman (talk) 19:59, 15 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
There's no reliable source found yet to add that info back. If there is a reliable source (such as a newspaper and a book) found that includes info about Mandark, it'll be added back with a reliable source. Aubree Jo (talk) 17:23, 15 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Aubreeprincess First off, Mandark is a character from Dexter's Laboratory. Second, if we were to use your logic, then we will have to remove information regarding other characters in every single cartoon article like Courage the Cowardly Dog, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Ed, Edd n Eddy etc. I'm going to eventually add Mandark back to the Dexter's Lab article if you continuously refuse to listen. You do not own the article. Thenostalgiaman (talk) 17:39, 15 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Aubreeprincess, Also, plot summaries don't need inline citations or sources, as per WP:PLOTSOURCE. I even reviewed the page history in the Courage the Cowardly Dog article. I'm going to eventually add the information regarding Mandark back to both the lead and premise sections, respectively, within the Dexter's Lab article because you have no right in removing it. Mandark is one of the five main characters in the show and the main antagonist of the show anyway. Besides, you are confusing readers by omitting the information about one of the show's most important characters anyway, even if it's a mostly episodic cartoon series. The article used to contain a lot more information (see here), which was removed without prior consensus about content and sources. I consider its current version to be good and serviceable, but far less complete. I don't consider such a broad removal of content necessary, although I do agree that the old version contained some original research that needed to be fact-checked and linked to a source. Aubreeprincess, it's been days or weeks since this conversation was last active. I demand all mentioning of Mandark be brought back to the lead and Premise sections of the article. Mandark is one of the five main characters as well as the main antagonist of the show anyway. Thenostalgiaman (talk) 13:54, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Mandark is the main villain and a core character of the show, so leaving him out compromises the article's coverage. Per WP:PLOTSOURCE, basic character roles do not require secondary sources. Staticspector (talk) 03:26, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
