Multiple choice pages generating lint errors

Multiple choice pages are generating lint errors. I do not have any expertise with modules. This is all outside of my skill set. I noticed that Portal:United States/Selected picture generates lint errors for two dates. Special:ExpandTemplates and the lintHint tool (see WP:Linter) show that Template:POTD/2020-06-02 and Template:POTD/2020-09-28 are OK by themselves. But {{Portal pictures|2020-06-02}} and {{Portal pictures|2020-09-28}} each typically generate missing end tags for <p> and <small>. I say "generally" because one of them has workaround code for <small>...</small> in one sub-template. —Anomalocaris (talk) 10:43, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
