Add tracking category when no images are being used
[edit]While noticing a bot removing the last image from a template usage, I noticed that there is no indication that the template is now useless on that page. Could a tracking category be added if there are no images being used? Gonnym (talk) 06:23, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Allow an image to occupy multiple rows?
[edit]Sometimes we have images with high aspect ratios. To fit those inside a multi-image template, it would be great to allow an image to occupy multiple rows. For example, in the multiple image template used in the Dinosaur Stomping Grounds article , I would like to place a third image to fill the empty space (i.e., have two images in the left column and one in the right column). Is this somehow possible and if not, could this perhaps be implemented? Thanks! Jens Lallensack (talk) 07:39, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, this is not so easy. I don't know of any generic image collage templates that support this right now. Frietjes (talk) 23:27, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Inconsistently displays incorrectly after adding to page

Preview bug
[edit]{Multiple image} displays with borders around the box and each image (by default) (as advertised) and places the image set inline with text. (All just like [File:] does for one image.)
However, In Preview, every {Multiple image} displays without any borders (sometimes noticeable) and not inline with text (can confuse). A876 (talk) 15:26, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
- I am experiencing the same thing. I did some testing in my sandbox and it seems like this bug only happens when there are no {{multiple image}}s already on the page you are editing. Feel free to use my sandbox for testing. –CopperyMarrow15 (talk · edits) 19:30, 11 July 2026 (UTC)

One more detail:
- The defective preview shows the backgrounds, but not the borders.
Ways to reproduce (and not reproduce) the bug:
- It happens when I Preview this template's documentation (and other things), while I'm logged in (which selects the old Wikipedia "skin" "Vector legacy (2010)").
- In a private window and not logged in (which uses the default skin), it previews correctly.

Wrapping bug on mobile

Text attempts to wrap around this template on mobile versions making the text unreadable in most cases. It wasn't an issue about a month or so ago, and would take up the whole row just like any other image. Anyone know what happened? – Farkle Griffen (talk) 03:49, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
