Error that needs correction
[edit]Recently, when using this template on different wikipedia, I discovered that this module makes an error if there is a Hyphen-minus in the name od the country. In the en-wiki this applies only for Austria-Hungary, but in the other wikis this can be a serious problem. Currently the tool ignores everything behind the Hyphen-minus, therefore returning the incorrect data. I would consult with the original author of the module, however, he has been gone for years. Can anybody else help with making this module right? Thank you very much.--Fraxinus.cs (talk) 20:45, 25 July 2025 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonesey95 (talk • contribs)
How to find "Georgia (country)"?
[edit]The country of Georgia is often referred to in category names as "Georgia (country)" to distinguish it from the US state of the same name. At [[: Category:Intellectual property treaties of Georgia (country)]], this template returns "Georgia" instead of "Georgia (country)", which causes a nonexistent category to be put on the page. Can this be fixed here? – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:06, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- You can see a simple example at Template:Find country/testcases. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:25, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
