Products

[edit]

IceWarp Mail Server is a mail server integrating all communication & collaboration features in one unified application. Available in cloud or for on-premises deployment, IceWarp is a tool to share and exchange all information and ideas online, offline or via mobile devices. It runs on Windows as well as on Linux[7] and current version is 14.3.0.9. The product was named Merak Mail Server in the past.[8]

IceWarp is also sponsoring and developing LibreOffice Online, a web-browser-based office suite.[9][10]

In 2017, IceWarp acquired Mirapoint Email Appliance.[11]

History

[edit]

IceWarp originated as a mail server product, previously marketed as Merak Mail Server, before evolving into an integrated communication and collaboration platform combining email, chat, video conferencing, document editing, file storage, and productivity tools. The mail server supports cloud, self-hosted, and hybrid deployment and runs on both Windows and Linux.[12]

During the 2010s, the platform expanded to include a browser-based web client, mobile applications for IOS and Android, and native desktop clients, alongside support for online document editing based on LibreOffice technology. IceWarp has sponsored and contributed to LibreOffice Online[13], a browser-based office suite built on the open-source LibreOffice codebase.

In 2017, IceWarp acquired the Mirapoint Email Appliance[11] business from Synchronoss Technologies, expanding its enterprise email offerings.

The company subsequently introduced its Epos platform generation[3][14], adding an updated interface, a customizable dashboard, TeamChat, and expanded video conferencing capabilities, alongside AI-assisted productivity features.
