CJ MORE is a Thai retail brand operated by C.J. Express Group Co., Ltd. It comprises supermarkets and community malls across Thailand.[1]
History
[edit]C.J. Express began its retail business in 2005 under P.S. PSD Rakthai Co., Ltd., founded by Wit Sasalaksananon.[2] The company initially operated from a two-unit wholesale store in Mueang Ratchaburi District, Ratchaburi Province,[1] before expanding into a chain of convenience-oriented supermarkets offering consumer goods at affordable prices for local communities.[1]
Business transformation
[edit]In 2013, Sathien Setthasit, co-founder and senior executive of Carabao Group, acquired more than 80 percent of the company's shares, at which time the business operated approximately 200 stores.[1] The company was subsequently renamed C.J. Express Group Co., Ltd.[3]
In 2020, the company introduced the CJ MORE brand as a new retail format, transitioning from convenience stores to small-scale community malls.[4] In 2024, the company also launched the CJX concept, a hybrid wholesale-retail format designed to serve small independent retailers in provincial areas.[5]

Expansion
[edit]The company initially focused its expansion on district-level communities and suburban areas before gradually entering larger urban markets.[6][4]
Its retail network expanded from approximately 900 stores and two distribution centres in 2022 to more than 1,700 stores and seven distribution centres.[7] According to company announcements, the chain reached 2,000 stores nationwide on 26 April 2026.[4]
The company has partnered with RELEX Solutions to implement artificial intelligence technologies for supply chain and warehouse management.[7]
Operations
[edit]According to company financial results cited by business media, C.J. Express Group reported revenue of 79.766 billion baht in 2025.[3]
As of 2025, Veeratham Setthasit serves as the company's chief executive officer.[8]
The company has considered an initial public offering (IPO) on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.[9] The plan was later postponed while the company continued expanding its retail network.[10]
