ZeroHash (stylized as zerohash) is an American financial technology company, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Chicago, that provides crypto-asset and stablecoin infrastructure to financial institutions.[1][2]
History
[edit]In January 2022, the company raised a US$105 million Series D round from investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Point72 Ventures, and Nyca Partners.[3][4] According to Fortune, the round valued the company at US$340 million.[2]
The company has partnered with Stripe on stablecoin services and with Securitize on tokenization projects involving asset managers including BlackRock and Franklin Templeton.[2][5]
In September 2025, the company raised US$104 million in a round led by Interactive Brokers, with participation from Morgan Stanley, SoFi, and Apollo Global Management, at a valuation above US$1 billion.[1][6][7][8] The same year, Morgan Stanley selected the company to provide crypto-trading infrastructure for E*Trade.[9] In October 2025, CNBC reported that OnePay, a fintech company majority-owned by Walmart, planned to offer Bitcoin and Ether trading through zerohash's infrastructure.[10][11]
In October 2025, zerohash Europe received a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets.[12]
Mastercard held acquisition talks with the company in late 2025, reportedly valuing it at up to US$2 billion; zerohash withdrew in January 2026 to remain independent.[13][14][15] By May 2026, Mastercard had dropped plans for a strategic investment in the company after acquiring the stablecoin firm BVNK.[16]
