Yuri Abramovich Veksler (Russian: Юрий Абрамович Ве́кслер; 4 February 1940 – 29 September 1991) was a Soviet and Russian cinematographer.

Biography

Veksler was born in Leningrad, where he survived its siege as a child. In 1957 he started work at the Lenfilm studio as a darkroom student where, under the guideship of cinematographer Dmitry Dolinin, he began his career as a cinematographer.

He died at his birthplace from a heart attack at the age of 51, and was buried at the Sestroretskoye Cemetery.
