Hanover state coach
[edit]There is on more state coach of British monarchs, the "Staatswagen Nr. 1" of the later Kingdom of Hanover. It was built in 1783 for George IV and brought to Hanover in 1814 during the age of the personal union. It was used by the Hanoverian monarchs until 1866 like the Gold State Coach. The coach is now property of the House of Welf and is exposed at the Historical Museum of Hanover. - That may be so but it is not currently used by the British monarch so I think it should not be included in the template. Besides, there is no article on it at the moment. I also think the coaches should be grouped in type and year of manufacture. --Charlie Huang 【遯卋山人】 10:43, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
Royal

- Yes, and... it should be renamed Template:State coaches of the United Kingdom. The only owner of "state coaches" in England is the British monarchy, and all of the British state coaches are housed at the Royal Mews. The word "state" means "country". By definition, "state coaches" are all owned by a monarchy (or its state successors where a monarchy has ended). ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 06:00, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
Renamed to "State coaches"
[edit]I renamed this because I needed a navbox for all the state coaches from all countries that have standalone articles. Easier to maintain just one template. ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 04:05, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
