This is the WikiProject banner template used by WikiProject Central Asia to keep track of articles within its scope. All articles are categorised into Category:WikiProject Central Asia articles.

Basic usage

Place this on the talk page of relevant articles:

Parameters

• importance – see #Importance assessment below.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Notes and alerts

• attention – set |attention=yes if the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention. This parameter populates Category:Central Asia articles needing attention.
• needs-infobox – set |needs-infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles. This parameter populates Category:Central Asia articles needing infoboxes.

Task forces

• Tuva – set |Tuva=yes if the article is supported by the Tuva task force. This parameter populates Category:Tuva task force articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Tuva articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.
• Kazakhstan – set |Kazakhstan=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Kazakhstan. This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Kazakhstan articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Kazakhstan articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.
• Kazakhstan-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to WikiProject Kazakhstan. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Kazakhstan articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
• Kyrgyzstan – set |Kyrgyzstan=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Kyrgyzstan. This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Kyrgyzstan articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Kyrgyzstan articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.
• Kyrgyzstan-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to WikiProject Kyrgyzstan. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Kyrgyzstan articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
• Uzbekistan – set |Uzbekistan=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Uzbekistan. This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Uzbekistan articles. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Uzbekistan articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.
• Uzbekistan-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to WikiProject Uzbekistan. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Uzbekistan articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.
• Tajikistan – set |Tajikistan=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Tajikistan. This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Tajikistan articles. • Turkmenistan – set |Turkmenistan=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Turkmenistan. This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Turkmenistan articles. • Turkmenistan-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to WikiProject Turkmenistan. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Turkmenistan articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.

Deprecated parameters

• listas – this parameter should be used with the banner shell template, not on individual project banners. Please see Template:WikiProject banner shell for details.
• class – this parameter should be used with the banner shell template, not on individual project banners. See WP:PIQA for more details.

Additional task forces

The {{WikiProject Central Asia}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project.
