Usage

"cf." redirects here. For for the category format suite abbreviated "cf", see Template:CF.

This template generates an abbreviation for confer or conferatur: cf.. By default the abbreviation is marked with an HTML <abbr>...</abbr> tag, which in most browsers renders as a tooltip when hovered.
