Wrong Francisco Ximenez
[edit]The genus was named by Plumier after a Francisco Ximenez (1570-1620?) from Luna, in Aragon, who translated Francisco Hernandez' four-volume Latin work on the plants of Mexico, not after Francisco Ximenez (1666-c.1722) from Écija, in Andalusia, who translated the Popol Vuh.
