[edit]is not official yet. What if he loses much Elo next weeks or what if Carlsen did the same like he and plays many games till end of year. Ich sure he will not, but is this enough, that i am sure, that something will not happen? Future-Trunks (talk) 05:37, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
Can someone please explain the reason for this?
[edit]One sentence of the article reads as follows:
"Unlike other Candidates Tournaments, and any FIDE World Championship cycle (except 1999–2004 during the split-title period), there was no automatic spot for the runner-up of the previous Championship (Ding Liren)."
Because this is unprecedented, it would be a very good idea to include an explanation of the reasons for this decision in the article.

- There is no reason known official. Somebody has maybe an idea why, but of course you cant put your own opinion in the article. Future-Trunks (talk) 08:32, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
