What the button press did

Actually, the button press did not cause the number balls to load. The machines were started up, and at that point, the balls tumbled in from the loading rack attached to each machine. Then, the "button presser" would press the button that opened the outlet on each machine. Then it was a matter of waiting for a ball to come out of each machine, with the one emerging closing the exit to keep another from coming out.

One unusual location for a draw, which I read about in either TV Times or TV Guide, was on a platform floating in a pool. A spare set of balls was kept on standby in case any became wet.

Finally, one of the most unusual draws in the later 1970s was when each of the five machines dropped a one and the series machine dropped a 51, producing a winning ticket of 11111, series 51. GBC (talk) 03:38, 4 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wintario 50th anniversary

I don't live in Ontario, but I was born there and just learned that earlier in 2025 there was a 50th anniversary edition of Wintario. Can someone more knowledgeable than me please add it to the history section? Journ (talk) 02:43, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
