Has replaced or will replace?
[edit]The first paragraph reads as if wero has already replaced iDEAL, but that is not true.
(The Dutch article in fact claims that wero is based on iDEAL, but does not say that it has replaced it yet. Also, the English-to-Dutch link seems broken and leads to an article about a bank instead of the correct one?!) Hamsterdamn (talk) 17:52, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- now it says "That should" but I can find neither confirmation of this nor should biased language like that be used. 144.43.250.23 (talk) 12:55, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- By spring 2026, iDEAL is actually rebranded to Wero (Wero infrastructure based on iDEAL). ~2026-25130-33 (talk) 19:05, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
Online retail payment method via bank card and -account
[edit]As far as I know, Wero is (from the beginning) able to do mobile-to-mobile payment transactions. But not transactions in the context of online shopping. The latter requires infrastructure that allows Wero as payment option in online shops. Only here, the standard banking card (sometimes called debit card) is going to play a vital role, using online-banking access. For sure, German Paydirekt was aimed at realtime online retail payments using online-banking infrastructure, like Dutch iDEAL was, but in both cases, the Wero infrastructure is ready as per this spring, in the Dutch case, migration runs quite seamlessly, because a comparable infrastructure has been present until now. In the German case, one may judge it as a major failure to shut down Paydirekt end of 2024, just approx. 15 months before Wero's retail payment infrastructure is rolled out.
Generally, the article does not point out the difference between peer to peer transactions, and the recent online payment infrastructure. ~2026-25130-33 (talk) 16:52, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

Wero (payment) → Wero – I believe this is the primary topic. It receives significantly more page views than any of the other articles. ~2026-42073-66 (talk) 22:34, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

Nice advert
[edit]You've been great at advertising this payment as a so-called solution. Now, can we get back to reality and treat Wero like the problem it is? ~2026-42980-56 (talk) 23:06, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
