Notable People

[edit]

A few years ago I helped compile the list of Notable People from Warrington. Reviewing it now, it seems really rather long for the main Warrington article. In other circumstances like this, there is a list separate from the main article with a link. I don't have the technical knowledge to compile a separate list. (1) Do others agree there should be separate list? If so, (2) can someone volunteer to do it?

I have discovered what appears to be a spurious uncited addition that appears head of the list of Writers under the Notable People section:
*[Amber May Lin Kay|Amber Kay] (1010–1082) a noblewoman, libertarianist activist, political and protestant religious thinker.

The person (if they actually existed) clearly has no wikipedia article (it was redlinked) and she seems ahead of her time - Protestantism did not exist in 11th century England. I will remove it.Cloptonson (talk) 16:30, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

The person didn't exist. The user, who put this person in the list is now banned. --Dandelo (talk) 18:09, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Formerly twinned

[edit]

Should Lake County be added as a place formerly twinned with Warrington?Halbared (talk) 07:57, 12 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Borough of Warrington

[edit]

A new page called Borough of Warrington has been created, it covers the civil parishes and the borough of Warrington. Not Warrington itself and all the borough is parished except Warrington itself. DragonofBatley (talk) 01:02, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
