In order to be properly encyclopedic, shouldn't we mention the by-now widely publicized last-minute takeover, lockout of staff, and deletion of the station's website (which all took place within 1 day's time, apparently also coordinated with a revision of this Wikipedia page)? This was all apparently the result of a donation of US$1 million by two wealthy senior citizens, but the station's staff and listeners were left out of the equation until 1 hour before the formerly free-form format (which featured dozens of diverse genres) was switched to all jazz. 98.123.38.211 (talk) 04:39, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

Rewriting history?

This Wikipedia entry rewrites history...a long, proud history. For 50 years, until Oct. 3, 2025, WCSB was a student-run, community-supported, college-affiliated independent radio station, airing a diverse mix of music, talk, news, and ethnic programming. With no warning of the impending demise of a valued community asset, Cleveland State University leaders and board of trustees had the student djs on site escorted from the building within minutes of handing over the signal, call letters, equipment, valuable music collection, and their souls to Ideastream, which no doubt is responsible for this Wiki whitewash of history. Please stop this, your continued insistence on excessive detail is unencyclopedic. Of particular note is the persistent inclusion of a Cleveland City Council non-binding resolution which, like it or not, held no legal weight and resulted in absolutely nothing, and is fully trivial. Of course you have falsely labeled me "a surrogate for Ideastream" and a "Bloomberg surrogate" and claim it is "blanking" ... which makes me question your motives here. I didn't state that you were a surrogate for Bloomberg or Ideastream, I said you were acting as one through your edits, which seem always to persistently minimize their role in the Oct. 3, 2025 takeover of WCSB, sometimes through massive summary blanking. ~2025-31208-44 (talk) 06:17, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
