Semi-protected edit request regarding typo in summary

[edit]

When using the search box, the sentence under "Victorian era" has a typo, stating "Historical period in Britian from 1837 to 1901". 2001:14BA:47C:3C00:DDB:D567:1476:5A91 (talk) 09:24, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Done, this was a recent shortdesc edit of
Queen Victoria's reign, 1837 to 1901
+
Historical period in Britian from 1837 to 1901
I'm not sure that's an improvement at all, for an article that's also about the British Empire, so I've reverted it. --Belbury (talk) 10:03, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Religion section moved

[edit]

I moved the long religion section in the June 13 2024 version to a new article on Religion in Victorian England see Rjensen (talk) 21:52, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Add the American frontier in the see also because it took place at the exact same time ~2025-42164-61 (talk) 15:10, 21 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not done: That article is not sufficiently related to this one. Day Creature (talk) 17:57, 21 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Should "The British Empire [...] was predominant in power in the world" be rephrased?

[edit]

It seems technically correct, but I think it would be more natural to say "The British Empire [...] was the predominant power in the world." Sorry to make a talk post if that's not the correct usage of the feature, I've made my account just for this purpose. PZBY69 (talk) 00:55, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yes @PZBY69, it was strange wording, it has been fixed now. Llewee (talk) 16:10, 19 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
