Vatsavai is a premium last name for people under kshatriya caste category of Andhra Pradesh. They fall under the Vasista gotram. It arose from a village named vatsavai. Since then people with this last name have spread all around Andhra pradesh and settled. Quite a few can still be found in Kakinada, Peddapuram, Kandregula village of East godavari district.

Thanks,

Ajay

[edit]

On 7 April 2025, the article was overwritten with information about the VastavX AI deepfake detection system. There were a significant enough number of edits that I moved those edits to a separate article on the subject. The remaining edits all relate to the village (plus my two reverts today to get the article back on its original topic). —C.Fred (talk) 11:24, 8 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

And it appears that article was a recreation of a deleted article, per WP:Articles for deletion/Vastav Artificial Intelligence. The text I moved is practically identical to the deleted article. —C.Fred (talk) 10:53, 9 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
