[edit]Basic information to add to this article: where in Long Island were they from? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 03:18, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out. This does need clarification. The article mentions the band hails "from New York City," though the infobox lists the band's origin as Long Island. Carmine Appice (percussion) was born and raised in Brooklyn, which is geographically on Long Island despite being a borough of New York City. The most recent festival profile of the band states they originally formed in New Jersey in 1965, but that was under their original name. https://www.arotr.com/vanilla-fudge
- Considering Appice lived in Brooklyn (therefore, also on Long Island) and the rest of the band was from Suffolk County, it makes sense to say that Vanilla Fudge chose their current name and thus "formed" or "rebranded" from The Pigeons to Vanilla Fudge in/on Long Island.

- This still hasn't been fixed? Were they based in Long Beach, New York? If so, why does the lead paragraph of the current version of this article say they were from New York City, when Long Beach is not part of New York City? We really do need to make sure this article is factual and comprehensive, and this is really basic information about this band. 98.123.38.211 (talk) 00:27, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- This says they were based in Long Beach, New York. Why not add this information to the article?
