Comment this is a primary topic change. The redirect target was changed to this new article. It was referring to a subsidiary of Motown, and there also exists VIP Music Records; many of the articles refer to the record label and not the record store. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 22:16, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

There is no article for the subsidiary of Motown. "VIP Music Records" and "VIP Records" are official names, so each can have their own article. Each could also have a hatnote. Gjs238 (talk) 01:01, 3 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Alright, I see VIP Records has been changed from a redirect to a disambiguation.

Not necessary. You were right the first time. "VIP Music Records" and "VIP Records" are two different titles so just need {{distinguish}} hatnotes. This one is probably primary anyway. It appears that all 8 incoming wikilinks to VIP Records intend this article. And the defunct Motown subsidiary probably isn't notable enough for its own article.
