DYK suggestions anyone?
[edit]I find Okamoto's life remarkable.
what do readers think about a WP:DYK? Possibilities are for example:
- ... that Utako Okamoto discovered tranexamic acid in the 1950's, in her quest for a drug to control bleeding after childbirth, but died in April 2016, one month before its first randomized controlled trial was completed?
- ... that Utako Okamoto was asked to leave a pediatric research conference, because it was "not for women and children", and went on to discover a drug on the WHO list of essential medicines to control bleeding after childbirth, ie maternal mortality?
- ... that Utako Okamoto discoverer of tranexamic acid worked with her daughter on her back in the laboratory, as she could not find child care?
- ... that after Utako Okamoto presented her research of tranexamic acid at a conference for the first time, male audience members ridiculed her by asking if she was going to dance for them?
