ring width question

[edit]

This article says that "all except the two rings of Uranus" are narrow. I looked at the main article on Rings of Uranus, to try to figure out what words were missing here, but the table there looks like four of the planet's rings are a lot wider than the others. Can someone who knows more about this take a look, please. Vicki Rosenzweig (talk) 16:23, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Misspelling

[edit]

One of the links at the bottom of the article reads 'Colonisation of Uranus' instead of Colonization of Uranus. Hexvern (talk) 17:33, 8 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

The article is written in British English. Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 05:55, 9 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Pun

[edit]

This is probably not the best idea, but should the pun be added to the culture section? ~2026-39457-86 (talk) 00:42, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think it should. PrStato (talk) 16:49, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's mentioned in the "Name" section. Serendipodous 21:02, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

"Ices"

[edit]

The claim that the planet's mantle is made of "ices" is slightly confusing, considering that most of the water, ammonia and methane in there is in liquid form. ~2026-50668-45 (talk) 14:42, 23 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

see volatile (astrogeology); "ice" in planetary science can be used to refer to volatiles whose melting points are relatively high, which includes ammonia >>scourgezoned (it/its) 15:41, 23 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
