What better option could there be? Where a disappointing title fight took place in October of 2025, let's make it right with this righteous rematch in October of 2026! In great timing, just the week after "UFC Fight Night 290: Pereira vs. Volkov." The heavyweight division can finally start getting a lot better.

Whoever the victor is at UFC 333, between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane, will face the "Alex Pereira vs. Alexander Volkov" winner in early 2027. These two high level heavyweight bouts taking place just a week apart, really will make the weight class become very thrilling towards the end of this year! The Aspinall and Gane rematch is being highly anticipated for around this time period, and who could possible complain about this serving as the main event? So, fans will know what to expect...

New Heavyweight Bout for UFC 333 (Change of Plans)

Well, it now seems that Alex Pereira isn't going to be facing Alexander Volkov next, and certainly not in Canada, the week before UFC 333. This main event is already confirmed to be for the Featherweight Championship between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev, meaning that Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane won't be having their rematch on October 24th. So, given that Pereira is eyeing other opportunities at heavyweight, here is another matchup that could make the main card very fun and intriguing... "Alexander Volkov vs. Valter Walker!"

Valter Walker just achieved a highly impressive record of five consecutive first round submissions, being the first fighter in the history of the UFC to do so, since the unified rules were made. Alexander Volkov should be on the longest active winning streak in the heavyweight division, if it weren't for his robbery loss to Ciryl Gane. If Volkov and Walker were to compete against each other at UFC 333, it would be the tallest average between two fighters in nine whole years, ever since Volkov fought Stefan Struve on September 2, 2017. Volkov is a high level striker, and Walker is now possibly the best wrestler at heavyweight. Plus, we could use a great big-man bout like this. It's been a very long time since fans have seen one. Especially at this level of contendership!

This fight would really entertain UFC fans in interest of UFC 333! I think October 24th is in pretty good timing too! Valter Walker is already stating that he wishes to compete around this time period, and what could be a greater test for him than a top-notch striker, who is even taller than himself, in Alexander "Drago" Volkov! Please take this into consideration for building the main card.
