This page has the wrong name and would be better served as two pages. Firstly, I propose that it be split in two with one page explaining the royal tribes which could be called Royal Tribes of Wales and the second page outlining the fifteen noble tribes of Gwynedd called Fifteen Noble Tribes of Gwynedd. In most sources the noble tribes are referred to as the Fifteen Noble Tribes of Gwynedd. An example of published works on this, George Morris in his Shropshire Genealogies (Circa 1836), states their were five Royal Tribes, Fifteen Noble Tribes of North Wales & the Tribe of March. The National Library of Wales continues to refer to the noble tribes as being of Gwynedd. James Frankcom (talk) 13:32, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it's over a decade later, never too late... I added tables showing the tribes and moved the article into Tribes of Wales which encompasses both the five and fifteen tribes. But for now, in my opinion, there isn't enough material to create separate articles. Cltjames (talk) 00:21, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
