Did you know... that the invention of the tone variator (pictured) in 1897 marked the advance beyond classical psychophysics, as it allowed the study of the perception of continuous changes in stimuli?

I'm not sure "excentrically" is what is meant here. I suspect it ought to be "eccentrically", but would prefer the author to give a reason why I'm wrong before I do anything! The Real Walrus 23:41, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
