Despite what his campaign says, his wife is a Worker's Compensation Referee, not a "judge." That claim is misleading and should be removed. Agrippina Minor 06:00, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Labor Code section 27 states whenever workers' compensation judge or workers compensation referee is used in connection with the workers' compensation law the term shall mean workers compensation administrative law judge. This has bee the law since 1993 when so amended. Also title 8 cal code of regs sections 9720.2h states a "judge" shall mean a workers compensation administrative law judge. 69.196.210.12 (talk) 16:17, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Proposal: Add a ‘Controversies’ section for balance and completeness

Hi everyone,

I’m proposing to add a concise, neutrally written “Controversies” section to improve balance and compliance with WP:NPOV and WP:BLP. The current article omits several well-covered events that received significant reporting from reliable sources (e.g., LA Times, Voice of OC, OC Register).

Possible entries include:

- 2022 Racial Justice Act ruling finding that Spitzer made racially insensitive comments in a double-murder case.

- 2025 harassment lawsuit verdict awarding damages to a former prosecutor who alleged retaliation.

- 2025 ACLU data-transparency case, in which a judge ruled the DA’s office unlawfully withheld records.

Each would be one or two sentences, fully sourced, with neutral language and no editorial tone.

I believe this addition is consistent with WP:DUE (significant coverage in reliable secondary sources) and would bring the article closer to a balanced biographical standard.
