Several changes
[edit]I changed several parts of the article. I helped 'distinguish' hurricane ties (for building) from other 'ties'. I also have some refs about what I wrote. ~Sivart345 —Preceding undated comment was added at 22:11, 17 October 2008 (UTC).
Nails only
[edit]I edited the suitable fasteners that can be placed in the holes of the tie. Nails only are used and the manufacturer of the tie often designates which size and/or type. Screws are not to be used due to their poor shear strength. Ksailork 18:57, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
