Controversy / cultural appropriation

I could not find any reliable sources to cite for this claim; wondering if it would be better to remove it?:

Some commentators have raised concerns that the project represents cultural appropriation, comparing it to Chicago’s "CowParade" initiative, but using imagery from non-Western cultures.

Looks like user:FZTEA has found and added a reference for the cultural appropriation claim, awesome! I have to say that the source they found appears to be the best, and most comprehensive source in this article, good work FZTEA! Dillon Lowery 96 (talk) 14:45, 15 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
