Thesis?

The article says "Brunning completed her PhD in 2013 at University College London with a thesis titled 'The ‘Living’ Sword in Early Medieval Northern Europe: An Interdisciplinary Study'"

but I thought you did a thesis for your masters degree and a dissertation for your doctorate. Or is that not correct?

In the UK the dissertation is for the lower degree and the thesis for the higher. In the US they reverse.Dean1954 (talk) 21:04, 18 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
