Wood and pollution

What is the point of this particular line?

burning wood (most common in developing nations). Burning wood for "ambiance" and in barbecues is fairly common, and is considered "the fastest-growing form of pollution".

removed inappropriate plug

The last paragraph under "Gas and Electric Stoves" included the inane comment "Gas and electric stoves have always had one thing in common, they will burn you" and goes on to detail a strip of Nomex being marketed for use on the oven door--it also included links to where it can be purchased.

removed commercial links

Two external links to commercial sites removed.

Redirection

When you search for electric stove it redirects to this article, however electric cooker does not and there is a separate stub for this. I think this should that should be removed/and or combined into this article.

History -- stove vs. oven

The history section seems to focus on what we now call "ovens", even if they were once called stoves, as well as devices meant to heat interiors rather than food. I'm seeing very little info about the invention of cooking surfaces. Is there anything we can incorporate to that end? -- Avocado (talk) 22:45, 27 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
