Draft review

[edit]

The draft seems ok right now. I would recommend using the following reference. The reason is that this source provides significant coverage of the subject and is from a very reliable source. For WP:PEOPLE, there should be more than just passing references (I haven’t checked all the sources thoroughly, but Stefan Hoops does not appear to be the main focus in the other references or they are not truly in-depth coverage).

The first sentence of the career section lacks a source. The rest seems alright.

Hello User:Afus199620 – I have carefully reviewed the additional sources you flagged and ensured the first sentence of the career section has an appropriate source. I will now re-submit for review. Thank you for your time and help on this. DSH LDN123 (talk) 09:27, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Demonstrating notability

[edit]

Hello.

Following helpful feedback from Grimes2, Afus199620 and others, I have added further sources to the article. I hope the current list of 30+ sources is now sufficient to meet the notability criteria.

The article cites extensive articles in publications such as the Financial Times, which go into depth about Stefan and his professional work, detailed coverage of his DWS leadership and appointment to various boards in similarly highly respected outlets, and coverage of his broader views - deemed notable enough to be picked up by Reuters, the BBC and others. This is in addition to the many German-language sources identified by Grimes2.

I am conscious, though, that this is my first time engaging on Wikipedia and that I have a declared COI, so I would greatly welcome any constructive feedback and collaboration from neutral editors on anything further that is needed for this article to be approved. Thank you. DSH LDN123 (talk) 11:48, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi.
I've approved the article for AfC, as I think it is notable and there is an article on the German wikipedia. The "Career" section was reading like a resume, but I thought it would it be easier to fix the tone (and organise it into paragraphs) myself instead of declining. There's one minor issue (see the "clarification needed" tag) and certainly some room to expand the article (for example, you may want to add a photograph). Also, I removed a line about the "Institute of International Finance's Future Leaders Group", thinking it wasn't notable for a layman and to include it would sound like a resume; maybe I'm wrong and it is important. (If so, it might deserve a mention on the institute's wikipedia page, I couldn't find anything about the "Future Leaders Group" on Wikipedia.)
Best regards. RustyOldShip (talk) 07:19, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you - I appreciate your time and advice.
As you mentioned, I will add an image to the article.
