Follow-up regarding #1 in Japan claim from AfD

@Bearian, in case you're curious, I did get an e-mail back from RSF's office about the #1 in Japan claim:

As far as we are aware ’Stand Up’ reached #1 in Japan when it was covered by The News, it was part of a double A side release.
So to be clear, it wasn’t #1 in Japan for Right Said Fred as an artist but for Fairbrass/Fairbrass/Ward as the songwriters .

To be honest we have never researched this deeply, it was sent to us by the licensing company for that track.

We get so many stats and information sent to us about the guy’s work it’s difficult to authenticate every single one.
That said, the licensing company are credible and a reliable source of information.

Hi there,

I have been working on the Wikipedia article for Right Said Fred’s song “Stand Up.” In the biography on the website, it says that, “the guys achieved their first No. 1 in Japan with the single ‘Stand Up (For The Champions)’.”

I can’t find any independent sources to verify this information. It doesn’t appear in Wikipedia’s Oricon #1 singles from 2002. Is there a different Japanese chart I should be referencing?
