German title - movie runs in cinemas in Germany as "Silent Friend", _not_ "Stille Freundin"

For one thing a title "Stille Freundin" would reveal what is mentioned very late in the film, to wit that the main character, the gingko tree, is a girl...

What is the source for a German title of "Stille Freundin"?
