Suggested Correction
[edit]Since I'm the author of a source being cited, to avoid any conflict of interest etc., I'll just note a correction here. A quote is incorrectly attributed here in the first paragraph to Sherwin Cody, namely "Write what you know -- so go out and know something." The source given (in Reference #1) is my 2010 Slate article on Cody. But it's not something Cody ever said, nor is it presented that way in the Slate article. It's *my* characterization of writing advice in general -- not in quotes, but italicized, as it's my own wording of a more general precept.
