Requested updates: Page title and logo
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The reviewer would like to request the editor with a COI attempt to discuss with editors engaged in the subject-area first. |
I work for the organization, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton (LLP) a/k/a Sheppard, discussed in this article and am disclosing a conflict of interest in accordance with Wikipedia’s COI guidelines.
I would like to request two updates for accuracy:
1) Page title update The organization has publicly adopted the name “Sheppard” (formerly “Sheppard Mullin”). Reliable sources reflecting this change include: - Firm website - Rebrand Press Release - LinkedIn Company Profile
If appropriate under Wikipedia’s naming conventions (WP:COMMONNAME), I request that the page be moved from “Sheppard Mullin” to “Sheppard”.
2) Logo update The logo currently displayed in the infobox is outdated. The updated logo is reflected on the organization’s official website: https://www.sheppard.com.
I understand the requirements regarding non-free content and am requesting that an independent editor upload a low-resolution version of the current logo under an appropriate non-free use rationale for identification purposes.
Thank you for reviewing these requests. Please let me know if any additional information is needed. NorthStarDesk (talk) 18:45, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, do you have a non-white version of the logo? It will likely be hard to read in white :) Thanks, Encoded Talk 💬 21:56, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- Looks like @NorthStarDesk: has been editing this article directly, despite a declared conflict of interest. The requested logo edit (2) is done.
- The page move/title request (1) still needs to be done. Fiske (talk) 00:29, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- @NorthStarDesk please make requested edits here as you have a COI Aloneinthewild (talk) 20:54, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

[edit]- The above edit request has not received any responses over the past 3 weeks (22 days in total).
- Discussion is a key component to implementing edits, and as a result, requests can be adversely affected when they fail to garner input from either reviewing or requesting editors. In light of this — and as a safeguard — this request has been declined as needing more discussion.[1]
- The COI editor is urged to revive stalled communications by making contact with local editors on those editor's own talk pages, and then by moving those discussions back to this talk page.
- The COI editor may also wish to broadcast requests for edits at the talk pages of the WikiProjects which give advice on this article. Those projects are usually listed at the top of an article's talk page.
