"A person with a savior complex will often experience empathic episodes and commit to impulsive decisions such as volunteering, donating, or advocating for a cause.[2]"
When the linked resource mentions the words "donating" or "advocating" nowhere and actually suggests volunteering for a cause as a healthy redirection for a savior complex.
Also "empathic episodes" are not defined and do not seem to be an actual established thing.
I'm not sure why the philanthropic language was needed here as a saviour complex seems compulsive for the persons own personal safety/self-esteem/wholeness and not altruistic; it would not be a complex if it was simply just helping people. ~2026-47857-52 (talk) 09:20, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
